Starting March 2025, Plas Uchaf Farm is thrilled to welcome guests to our new shepherd hut self-catering accommodation! Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape of rural North Wales, our charming shepherd huts offer a peaceful retreat where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and the rich heritage of a traditional Welsh hill farm.
Each hut is thoughtfully designed for comfort and authenticity, giving you access to the farm’s historic 17th-century walled garden, orchard, tranquil farm pond, and enchanting woodlands. You’ll also be staying in close proximity to Mynydd Y Gaer, an ancient hillfort steeped in history and St Nefydd and St Mary's Church - burial place of Catrin Berain ‘Mother of Wales’. Whether you're seeking a relaxing escape or a base to explore the rugged beauty of North Wales, Plas Uchaf promises a unique and unforgettable experience.
This exciting project has been made possible with the support of the Clocaenog Forest Wind Business Farm Fund and RWE. Their generous funding is helping us diversify and preserve the farm’s historic features while creating opportunities to share Welsh culture and heritage with a wider audience.
We are proud to acknowledge the support of @ClocaenogCF @RWE_UK and @conwyvol (CVSC) in this endeavor. Head to their websites for more information and keep an eye on their social media channels for updates.
Get ready to experience the charm of Plas Uchaf – where heritage and hospitality meet. Bookings will open soon, so stay tuned for more details!
